About the Project
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a musical comedy conceived by Rebecca Feldman with music and lyrics by William Finn, a book by Rachel Sheinkin, and additional material by Jay Reiss. The show centers on a fictional spelling bee set in a geographically ambiguous Putnam County Middle School. Six quirky adolescents compete in the bee, run by 3 equally quirky grown-ups.
BBP is a youth theatre company that was created over 15 years ago to give youth a chance to perform. Currently we are located in the Santa Clarita Valley.
