About the Project
Based on the book “Disco Bloodbath: A Fabulous but True Tale of Murder in Clubland” and the hit movie “Party Monster”, this theatrical club experience throws you into the downtown NYC Club scene of the early 90s. We follow James St. James down the rabbit hole as he tells the shocking, fabulous and true tale of Michael Alig, the Party Monster. Clubland ran at the American Reparatory Theatre’s Club Oberon in the heart of Cambridge Massachusetts in November 2012, April 201, and had a revamp production at Candibar Boston in February 2015. The show gained attention for its upbeat pop score and it’s spectacle aspects. Along with writing the book music and lyrics, Andrew Choreographed the first two mountings of the show as well as directed and costume designed the third.
