There is a standard for Fringe shows that allows the audience to “forgive” certain problems a show may encounter during it’s performance. A loophole in the script, under rehearsed performances and shoddy sets are all par for the course when seeing shows during Fringe. Daniel Llewelyn-Williams has surpassed all expectations and created a truly remarkable piece of theatre. He effortlessly presents this slice of life light hearted drama from turn of the century Wales with a skill and fervor. His performance is captivating, using the bare essentials of a suitcase and a hat Llewelyn-Williams transforms a flat black theatre into homes, docks, bridges and oceans. The writing and direction are superb as well. Minimal but effective light and sound cues bring this piece to life. The magic of the show isn’t the card tricks or the slight of hand, it is the entire world Daniel Llewelyn-Williams creates before your very eyes.
What I didn't like
That there were empty seats. This show should be packed every night! GO SEE IT!
