With Brian Howard, every show is different, because he's so invested in the members of his audience - he feeds on their reactions, inviting their comments in real time - and as the audience members get more comfortable in their integral roles, they get even more involved, almost to the point where Brian has to rein them in a bit. He never loses control, and it makes for an exciting and unpredictable evening. Like tonight - he was going to do some juggling, but then he got to talking about direct mail for some reason - he should have just stuck to the juggling. Just kidding, Brian. I have been attending comedy shows since the 1960's. Brian Howard aka 'Broon' at Ren Faire is up there with Dennis Miller for cerebral humor. His command of English, his points of reference, his irreverence. I could go on but if you have seen or heard of him, you know of what I speak. I have seen him many times at the Ren Faire. Sometimes several times in one day and I have never grown tired of his take on litle things like, stalking, restraining orders, anusing small animals, cute things that children do that we adults would also benefit from doing. My payment was having the opportunity to see this comic genius perf... full review

I saw this show Friday at 8 PM and he was great. Very off the cuff delivery and funny. The show was very casual with Brian talking directly to the audience pretty much the whole time and improvising with what they gave him. Our audience was a little small, about 25 people but he was still able to work the room. Oh, and he did have a beer and do some pretty cool tricks.... full review
