The Pink Sinatra - Swing with a Twist

About the Project

The premise of the Pink Sinatra is sort of gay/metrosexual Pink Panther-Frank Sinatra characterisation, with Rat Pack-era songs – swing with a twist. It contains light comedy and some non-intrusive audience participation. It works really well and audiences have responded superbly to the show, from a wide demographic – gay/straight, young adult/mature. In a smaller venue it can be with (authentic big band) swingin’ soundtrack, with potential for a live band – which I would definitely like to offer at Hollywood Fringe.
At Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2010(and Brighton) we won all 4-star reviews:

‘The Pink Sinatra has to be one of this year’s best Edinburgh Fringe shows. Scott Free is a terrific entertainer. I want one!’

‘On song!’
The Stage

After entertaining audiences with sell-out shows at the Brighton Festival Fringe in May, Scott Free performed the Pink Sinatra to high acclaim at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2010. Join award-winning singer Scott in cabaret for a light-hearted romp through Sinatra’s classic songs and Rat Pack era swing music, with a pink twist! Accompanied by a swingin’ soundtrack or live big band, his sets include timeless tunes such as Mr Bojangles, New York, New York and Fly Me to the Moon.

Scott performed the role of Frank Sinatra in Rat Pack-Live! at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. He has performed in venues including Le Cameleon Club, Paris, London’s Pizza-on-the-Park, Westminster theatre and onboard the QE2. UK Unsigned Singer of the Year at the Hackney Empire, London.
