Benny’s a very likable, charming, performer with a great set of pipes. Honestly, if I need someone to teach me about Judaism, I might go to Benny. And he really could be a cantor if he wanted. I liked his laid-back comfortable style with the audience and I appreciated his honestly. And hot dang, the accapella group was pretty exceptional, too.
What I didn't like
I really liked everything. If I was to say anything I’d say sometimes the pieces could’ve been tighter, but all in all, I was very happy to spend 45+ minutes with Benny and his audience .
My overall impression
Benny is a likable, comfortable performer onstage with a great set of pipes and a lot of information to share. he covers a lot of territory, including his Judaism, (bludaism)? but I think he could’ve actually done a full 45 minutes about being Blewish (and his passion about it etc etc). I mean Benny! I grew up with orthodox relatives, and I don’t have half the passion that you do!
