There are some immensely talented actor/singers in this production. Reagan Osborne has a gorgeously effortless voice and infuses his performance with wit and verve. Katy Harvey lights up the stage whenever she enters and delivers a song with a voice like warm honey. Michael Noah Levine has fine comic timing and good pipes. A caveat: this is more of an emotional tone poem monologue concert than a musical. There is little character interaction or narrative through-line. I truly was almost in tears from excitement during this show. This ISN'T HOLLYWOOD FRINGE this is a slice of brilliant off broadway New York where you leave the show wondering why everyone who worked on the show isn't on Broadway winning TONY awards. The music is brilliant, the staging is exciting, the actors are committed and the audience is entranced. Katy Harvey's voice alone makes you want to never leave the theatre but Boule's evident intense direction was not only beautifully executed but her best yet. Seriously, you NEED to see this show. I'm even going back.... full review

Extremely well performed and staged collection of songs along the common theme of escape. Not unlike Jason Robert Brown's "Songs For a New World." Totally worth seeing! I will say though that much of it is along the trend of current American musical theater where the songs start with a tone and a hook and then wander for a while, eventually coming back. You are not likely to come out humming the melodies, but you will be moved by their emotion, which is still more than I can say of many musicals I've seen in recent years. Absolutely should be on your Fringe list!... full review

Fugitive Songs is less about lawbreakers than about the need to escape—to discover new horizons. The restless fugitives in Chris Miller (music) and Nathan Tyson’s (lyrics) song cycle feel trapped. They are ready to say farewell to loser boyfriends, dead end jobs, general malaise, or the realization that life in Washington Heights has become too comfortable.
