Outrageous in almost every way - definitely a fun show to catch, especially if you're a fan of Who's the Boss. By the end of the show, I was convinced that was really Tony Danza on that stage. Lots of fun!... full review

This is a great show -- the cast is amazing. Even if you've only seen a couple of episodes of "Who's the Boss?" it's apparent even before the actors are addressed onstage who they're playing -- Damien Luvara's Tony Danza and Summer Shirey's Judith Light especially stand out. Damien's due in part to his uncanny resemblance to Danza (as well as his spot-on characterization) and Shirey has managed to capture so many of the little acting tics and mannerisms that I wasn't even aware that Judith Light did, until I saw it on the stage. It took me a about 10 minutes to understand where the story was going -- I thought it was going to be almost a mock "E! True Hollywood Story" of Tony Danza's life (maybe something you might want to explore for a f... full review

Damien nails Tony Danza and his high TVQ rated personality- they even look similar! I especially loved the media aspects and the creative back story they've created regarding how the cast of 'Who's The Boss?' came to be. Favorite moments include "Judith...Light", Kat at the bar and the cast party, and the interrogation scene.... full review

As a long-time Tony Danza fan (perhaps because I never had to work with him during my years in The Biz), this caught my attention immediately and was my first ticket purchase for this year's festival! As a mimic, DAMIAN LUVARA is breath-taking, sliding along the knife-edge between recognizable Reality and Parody with great, great skill. I'd love to see him do another role---if he can! The rest of the cast is excellent, too, and sometimes funny---but the script is Something Else: an Absurdist concoction indeed, inhabiting a Parallel Universe to the actuality of the genesis of WHO'S THE BOSS? Why go so far afield to make up something? The Truth Was Bad Enough! It might be better to parody Tony's two-season talk show, and bring on the WHO... full review

This is a really fun show. If you were a child in the 80s, you can't not enjoy Boss. It brings back so many memories. The cast does incredible impersonations of Tony Danza, Judith Light and Alyssa Milano, and the rest of the cast is great as well. They brought this show back from last year's Fringe, so this is probably your last chance to see it. Definitely a must-see - worth every penny.... full review

Loved every minute of this show! It was extremely fun and campy (in the best possible way) The actors were beyond talented and the direction was suburb. I'd highly recommend this show to anyone looking to have a good laugh! ... full review

If you're looking for a full force comedy with a side of nostalgia, then look no further! The Boss is a perfectly executed, craftily acted, and expertly directed piece of comedy gold. I had so much fun reliving my early childhood through the thoughtful 80's references sprinkled throughout this razor sharp script. All of the acting was top notch and had a firm grip on the fast paced sketch-comedy style, but Damien Luvara stood out making me forget that I wasn't actually watching the real Tony Danza on stage. His vocal intonations and mannerisms were spot on. Summer Shirley was beyond hilarious, part Judith Light, part Harry Caray, but all genius. They were flawlessly rehearsed, but if I were to say a word of caution, they definitely play to t... full review

Sorry to say it took me a whole year to finally see this! And it was just as alive and funny as I anticipated. I really enjoyed the media "opening credits" sequence and the freeze vignettes (my favorite Mona moment), perfectly transporting me from live theatre to... well, every old tv show I grew up watching, and back to live theatre, seamlessly. The ensemble brings a non-stop physical energy to the stage with each role from the ruthless Mob Boss, the smarmy Agent, the hungry Bartender, the reckless Detective duo, to the paper boy. Damien and Summer are like watching a seasoned SNL skit that you look forward to recurring each week. There are quirks and subtleties I didn't remember about Judith Light until I saw the characterization come to "... full review

Boss is fantastic from start to finish! From the moment Damien steps out on stage as Tony we are in it; setup so well for the fun that will continue to ensue! The entire cast understands the style of the piece very well and they all seem to be playing the same game. Each maintaining an excellent pace together to perfectly convey the fun and hilarity of Boss!... full review
