My overall impression

Much like the length of string that winds around the intimate stage during the course of the performance, this show is taut, delicately crafted, refreshingly non-linear, and yet all connected. Leslie’s frustration with the world’s obsession with being happy particularly resonated with me. Leslie brings a warmth to her performance and is delightfully charming, even as she reveals her struggles and goes to dangerous places. Director Rebecca Hengstenberg deserves credit for keeping the show floating along with efficiency and grace. I’ve long admired Leslie’s work as an actor, and she really comes into her own as a solo performer with this piece. Beautiful!
