Funtastic show! I heard about this one from someone I spoke to at another Fringe Fest show. Loved the whole thing including interstitial skits... full review

totally fun! totally funny. great cast and set of characters. LOVE THE COMMERCIALS. and really, you're in such good hands with brendan hunt. this guy is so good at what he does. so adept at comedy and improv and just... someone that you oughtta go see onstage. seeing talent like him and the others feels so good. ed goodman was a great twain (look, I say the names I know, what do you want from me?) and the direction was superb (to keep it moving as you did and being clear) but everyone onstage delighted and endlessly tickled all of us in the audience. And let me just say, the commercials were brilliant, as were the actresses!!!! THE ACTRESSES! TALENTED, FUNNY ACTRESSES! no doubt some of the funniest ladies I've seen for awhile.... full review

A lot of fun. Literary humor, historical humor, and crude puns. Poe and the talk show structure hold together chaotic and hilarious bits from a zany ensemble.... full review

Freaking hilarious!! Being new to LA fringe the people I met kept telling me that this was a must see and boy I am glad I did. The actors were SO GREAT! The show felt short because I was in for an awesome ride. Oh and the Ending was A gasp! GO SEE!... full review

I'll be brief. This is by far the funniest thing I've seen at Fringe this year. Not. Even. Close. So smart, so stupid, so inventive, so everything. If you miss this, may God have mercy on your soul. Well done Ed, et al!... full review

The Poe Show was TERRIFIC. Incredibly witty writing, pitch-perfect performances, excellent improvisation- I almost found myself hoping for mistakes to occur just to see how the cast would spin them into comedic gold. Brendan Hunt is frickin' hysterical, and the live-action commercial parodies are clever and biting. This show deserves a life beyond the Fringe. Follow them anywhere!!... full review

Self-aware but not snarky, self-referential but never self-loathing; the Poe of the show's title is remarkably loveable...for a morbid poet with borderline necrophiliac erotic fantasies whose best friend is a sometimes chatty, sometimes terse bird of prey. It is that loveability that drives the evening and that makes it work so well that you leave the theater wishing there really WAS a Poe Show. Ed Goodman's intelligence, his sense of the absurd, his warmth and self-deprecation and (most of all) his comic timing recall Johnny Carson in his primetime glory. Goodman's Poe would have made a fine guest on Johnny's couch. It's a beautifully-realized character that fits the actor like a glove. It is beyond brilliant; what it really is is geniu... full review
