This show was fantastic! Performances were outstanding! It truly captures the late-night talk-show vibe of anything-can-and-does-happen. Some the the best writing is in the "commercials" and segments that run the gamut of selling you the latest in menstruation technology ("are you still using pond moss? Pish! Ladies I give you RAGS!!") to a post-Last Stand wrap up with Custer himself. You might be laughing hard but you won't mis the clever social and political commentary that pokes fun at contemporary media and the way in which we are still condescendingly advertised to today (snake oil and the Donner party get a spot). Brendan Hunt is outstanding as Poe and the cast does a terrific job of bringing to life figures real and fictional (the seg... full review

So much fun! I met a friend at Fringe Central just as she was leaving to attend the Poe Show and I tagged along -- so glad I did! Possibly the finest bit of parody I've seen in a long time and constantly funny -- constantly biting -- and mostly accurate! Definitely check this out if you have the chance!... full review

Live from Burbank, it’s the perpetually gloomy author and poet, Edgar Allan Poe, hosting his own late-night talk show, and it’s pretty damn hilarious.... full review

Enter the "studio" take your seat and settle in for the David Allen Poe-tterman* Show! This is a concept so good that I wonder where it's been all my life. Brendan Hunt (Poe) disappears so completely into this role that I almost can't recognize him in the smiling headshot on the show page. His affect his perfect, and there were a few moments in the show where I *think* a small technical glitch occurred and Hunt in his Poe-sona reacted precisely as you would expect. Hunt is supported by a strong ensemble supplying period guests, period advertisements, and period catastrophes! This show nails its concept and then some. Thoroughly entertaining and very inventive, don't miss out! *It's actually The Poe Show, please forgive the portma... full review

Great performances and a hilarious concept drive this comedy/satire to be much greater than the sum of its parts. The basic premise of an Edgar Allen Poe themed talk show becomes a very funny look at history seen through a modern lens and modern times seen through a historical lens. By far the standout in this all around solid production is the wit and charm of its lead who is thoroughly a joy to watch. ... full review

Absurdly funny. Talk show format works brilliantly for the almost one hour length with Brendan Hunt & Ed Goodman holding down the fort. Can't get enough.... full review

Excuse me, Brendan Hunt? Where the *$%# have you been my whole life??? Everyone needs to stop what they're doing right now and buy a ticket to see this guy give one of the most brilliantly nuanced and fiercely smart comedic performances I have seen this side of Mark Rylance... Full disclosure, I haven't even seen the whole show. I saw about 8 minutes at this evenings Pick of Fringe, and I was literally kicking and screaming with laughter (ask anyone who was there. Kicking and screaming). I might need to start a fan club... But first I need to get a ticket to see the full show. And you should too. Like I said ^^. ... full review

The Poe Show was amazing! Non stop laughter for a full hour. If laughter is the best medicine I have increased my lifespan at least 30 years by going to this show. I loved this show and just recalling the lines makes me chuckle. Thank you Poe Show!... full review

Brendon Hunt is hilarious as Poe. The commercials are too broad, the Raven underused, Shakespeare as a guest must have been a replacement -- there was no bit there. Brave and raunchy, it could use better direction and some writing. Brendan should never let Poe die!... full review

I love intelligent and clever humor and this show is packed to the brim with that! I had a TON of fun watching this show and I recommend it to EVERYONE! I was laughing a majority of the time :) The comedic timing was perfect and the actors were impeccable, especially Brendan Hunt who plays Poe. I think the best part about it is that no two shows are alike. I could tell that there were scripted bits, bits recently added, and improv bits. The premise is hilarious and inclusion of "clips" and "commercial breaks" is just so expertly done and absolutely genius. I will say this though...the show I saw featured an interview with William Shakespeare which I thought was a little flat. There was a hilarious bit about a certain play of Shakespeare's th... full review
