My overall impression
This is the show to which you go tipsy and have a great time. If you’re a seasoned gamer, you’ll enjoy the homework that the cast and direction have done to make this a love letter to 20-somethings who grew up with a gamepad in their grubby hands. I saw Megaman assume his “taking damage frame” from the original game and Donkey Kong use his down+B ground pound from Super Smash Bros. Melee. There are probably more easter eggs in the choreography but I was too busy trying to frantically vote for my favorite characters to catch some of the fights. Fun show with multiple endings.
