If you are a SONDHEIM fan; GO!!
Rare show to see, lovely to hear trained voices that can handle the demands the great SONDHEIM requires from his performers.

The Good People Theater Company's 'Marry Me a Little' is enchanting. Jessie Withers and David Laffey provide well-sung performances that capture the insecurities and emotional longings of their characters. This show is designed for intimate theatre. The show flies by all too quickly. It is an experience treasured by those who can never get enough of Sondheim's beautiful melodies, deep human insight and diamond-sharp wit....

Shows like this are difficult to do. They seem simple enough, but finding two actors who can carry, thematically, an emotion or feeling over one hour, and do it with lovely voices to boot, must be a challenge. Janet Miller has found two tremendous singers in Jessie and David, and their interpretation of Sondheim's songs tells the story that needs to be told. A model of how small musical revues should be done....

n the early 1980’s, just before Craig Lucas transitioned from performer to playwright, he approached Stephen Sondheim about using some of the composer’s trunk songs in a new theatrical context. The result was Marry Me a Little.

Well this was fun. Great performers, and a great audience made for a great hour of theater!
The musical numbers were performed with great timing and virtuosity. All of Sondheim's neat ideas brought to life wonderfully.
I recommend this show to anybody who like good theater performed by good people :)...

Sondheim in the hands of pros
A delightful romantic hour of Sondheim performed by two perfectly paired, very talented actors. Both Withers and Laffey have the hearts of the audience from the start and carry us through a maze of emotions as the two characters fantasise their ways through imaginary romances on opposite sides of the same wall. These two actor-singers have the chops to carry even the trickiest Sondheim phrasing with ease. This is a must see with only one show left. Catch these two while you can....

I went to see the Saturday Show on 6/26. I was a great way to spend the afternoon. The narrative elements of show were strong, as were the performances of the actors and the pianist.
I would definitely recommend this show to anyone looking to spend a relaxing afternoon with great memorable songs. ...
