My overall impression

Village Idiom has done it again. What started with [Title of Show] a couple years ago continues in this raucous original piece. Only this time, the self-aware hilarity that served to amplify the deeper message in [Title of Show] is brought front and center in “BOAF2025” — deeper messages be damned — and there’s nothing wrong with that whatsoever.

THE BEST OF ALBUQUERQUE FRINGE 2025” (as the kids are calling it) provides non-stop laughs; lampooning the lovably (and sometimes ridiculously) quirky nature of Fringe and theatre festivals. It offers up a series of bits, each of which could have stood on its own as a comedic piece. This is due not only to Smith’s and Blanchette’s sharp work on the page, but to the entire team’s talent and dedication that made this production the joyous occasion that it is.

You won’t want this show to end. I’d still be watching it right now (a day later) if the lights had stayed down and the players kept popping out on stage. Then, I’d still be disappointed that it ever had to end.

You’re going to love this.
