Dead Dog’s Bone explores the difficulty of accepting the past while learning from it, and taking experiences from the past to create a better, happier future. The theme of channeling unhappy experiences into a better future carries through from the beginning of the play to its end at the inevitable end of Dog. The acting is first rate, beginning with Julia Finch as the Virgin Mary who narrates the play and ties its scenes together, and continuing through Luke Medina in a difficult role as THE Dog, the character who brings the play to its climax and resolution. In between, Conor Murphy, Hailey McAfee, Sean Draper and Gigi Greene play characters with close relationships, past and present, who need to adjust their lives and hangups to co... full review

Absolutely fabulous production. I was amazed at the creativity of the director, Rosie Glen-Lambert …a motorcycle scene without a motorcycle, rock skipping with buckets and more. A feast for the eyes. The acting is amazing as well….Hailey McAfee, Conor Murphy, GiGi Greene, Sean Draper, Julia Finch and Luke Medina as Dog!!! What a fun theater experience!!! The commitment to DEAD DOG'S BONE by the Cast and Production Team is evident. Well done everyone…..I will be going again!! ... full review

This wonderful performance, produced stunningly by up-and-coming director Rosie Glen-Lambert, was an absolute joy to experience. I definitely did not expect that level of emotion to sweep over the audience. Even after coming back for a second performance, I still had to wipe a tear from the corner of my eye. Embarrassed, I looked around the audience to make sure I was unseen. To my surprise, men and women alike were also succumbing to their inner feelings. Even if you are not a dog person, you will understand the deep level of love this beautiful production thrusts upon the audience. Thankfully, there is a layer of appealing humor that helps alleviate the sadness from completely washing over you. I would especially like to acknowledge the pe... full review

Clever, spirited and unabashedly original, Dead Dog’s Bone: A Birthday Play was definitely worth my time. I was especially impressed by the actors (at once earnest and playful) as well as the flawless, graceful flow of the production from beginning to end. The quality of the writing, acting, and directing far surpassed my expectations. But more than that, it moved the dog loving heart in me. ... full review

This show really elevates what you can do on a traditional stage. Director Rosie Glen-Lambert came up with brilliant ideas to make this production special. Somehow, on stage you'll see a glowing lake, a motorcycle made of...you'll have to see, giraffes, polar bears, and perfectly done lighting effect to show the passage of time. The entire cast and crew had to be on point with their movement and performances to make all this work, and you can tell they rehearsed over and over to make it happen. It was wonderful to see this kind of creativity come from such a young group of people. ... full review

I saw Dead Dog's Bone last week and I continue to think about it and find new layers of meaning in it. The well produced and finely acted play is presented through a series of short vignettes that take the audience back and forth through the moments in one family's life as we continue to discover the complicated relationships between these characters. Much like life this play does not give easy answers. Instead it gives us glimpses of a life and the opportunity to consider our own lives.... full review

I thought this play was fantastic! Great script, great acting, and very inventive staging. The music was evocative, the simulated motorcycle ride was really effective! For me, the actor portraying the dog was the real highlight. He was able to communicate the essence of Canis familiaris to the audience in a way that i've never seen a Homo sapiens do before... full review
