You Smiled at Me on the Subway Platform’ is an pop song-cycle based directly on missed-connection posts from various national Craig’s List sites. Matthew Loren Cohen, a music director for The Second City and composer for ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’ and NBC’s ongoing sketch comedy showcase brings tales of love gone gone to the Hollwyood Fringe stage in a one-act song cycle. A cast of six sings songs of secret smiles, unsaid words and quiet desperation in a mix of all sorts of musical styles. If you’ve ever seen your soulmate at the gym or Costco or Whole Foods, then these fun tunes of regret and disappointment will speak volumes!
