King Dick is a completely unique delight. This show takes real-life characters you know and shakes them around in a martini shaker, adds some uppers then dips them in 24 carat gold. Truly an experience you'll be sorry you missed!... full review

KING DICK is an extraordinary piece of theatre. I'd put this show up against any show I've seen in town, and I see a lot of theatre outside the fringe. Totally engaging and hilarious throughout the entire performance with a rockstar ensemble cast. The expertly crafted dialogue, and insanely superb acting by Christian Levatino marks this play as not only my favorite fringe experience, but my favorite show I've seen in years. I would go over and over again if I could. I want the DVD. For artists, writers and actors, this is a level of professionalism that we should all try to reach for in our own shows. Loved this show! I though it was an incredibly funny, incredibly original take, on historical characters. Christian Levatino was inspired, and his writing took you on a ride. I would be wrong not to shout out Darrett Sanders performance as the Senator. I wish I had a few hundred k $ to turn this into a feature film. I could see it doing very well. Can't wait to see what's next from Gangbusters Theatre Co. and their production of KING DICK. ... full review

One of my favorite experiences from this years Fringe. Based on a bizarre -- and true-- incident this script was smart, insightful and funny. The play is also beautifully acted and directed too. Not much in the way of set and tech, but about as professional a theatre piece as you will see in Fringe. Be sure to read the back cover of the program. ... full review

I cannot say anything other than what has been said and will get this show awards. Truly magnificent work for such a sizable cast in such a tight space.. the interaction, spacing, staging, and simplistic props was freekin awesome.. The Gangbusters crew did an amazing job and their efforts were exemplary. Hats Off to KING DICK and Gangbusters! ... full review

KING DICK (Bronze Medal) I am someone who is consumed by the study of history, and feels that history is not something that should be played fast and loosed with. It is therefore understandable why I would have trouble with Christian Levatino’s “King Dick”. First the facts, Levatino uses as the basis of his play, one of the strangest meetings that ever took place in Washington D.C., when on December 21, 1970, Elvis Presley arrived at the White House to offer his service to President Richard Nixon. Elvis was concerned about what he regarded as forces working against the well being of America: The commies, the hippies, the Back Panthers and of course, the Beatles. Elvis went to Nixon seeking to be made a "Federal Agent at Large", ... full review
