This play has everything from dating, loss, modern-day working and the nuances of being a British Indian delivered in a refreshingly raw, witty, heartwrenching style. Treya tells her wonderful story in this one hour long roller coaster ride that skilfully leads the audience through the highs of her hilarious, laugh-out-Loud anecdotes and tear-jerking lows of her sorrows that shed light on important prejudices in today’s world. Masterfully written, acted and directed, Shyam seamlessly transitions between characters and emotions, fully engaging her audience. She may have called it a one-woman show but the way she did it made it feel like you were sat in her world experiencing everything and everyone just as Treya would.
