My overall impression
Stupid Songs was a hoot! Everyone had stellar vocal chops, the staging was simple and effective, and the energy of the piece as a whole was really fun and engaging. At times, I wished there was a narrative thread or uniting theme for the show (hard not to compare a comedic musical revue to fringe regulars, Lost Moon Radio), but ultimately the show’s cohesion rests in the very timely, fresh comedic perspective (a love song to Robert Durst? Hilarious) apparent in each song. Not a dud in the bunch – and the song about what to do with your arms was the. best. ever!
