What I liked
For the players who football games scored the goal, it becomes a moment they will remember for the rest of their lives. The striker becomes an instant hero. His teammates surround him. The coaching staff rushes toward the celebrations. Supporters sing his name long after the final whistle.
What I didn't like
They had defended for almost the entire match. They had fought through pressure, made crucial tackles, and believed they had done enough. But football can be cruel. One moment of brilliance can erase everything that came before it.
My overall impression
Football does not care how tired you are. It does not care what the statistics say. It does not care how unlikely the comeback seems. Until the referee blows the final whistle, there is always another possibility.
