My overall impression
Seeing 5 Sirens: Beware of Rocks was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Be it comedy or drama these five, talented women have each written ten-minute plays about communication (or miscommunication) that offers enough variety for everyone to find something to connect to. Spock at Bat by Kiera Nowacki definitely hit home for me because I’m a baseball freak myself and have watched many a game with people who don’t know it at all. Watching all of these plays either brought a smile to my face and sent me out chuckling, or moved me so much that three days later I’m still thinking about them. All I can do is thank these five playwrights for writing fresh shows and giving me an enjoyable ride.
