Following the 2014 world premiere, Loft Ensemble is proud to present Catalyst, the story of six young women who embark on a journey to consume their addiction before it consumes them. Stepping away from the shadow of disease and into the light, a Catalyst of self-discovery is made in a treatment facility for eating disorders. Catalyst with the use of music, movement, and candid journal entries captures the heartache, the victories, and the beauty that comes with the journey to self love. Embodying the disease on stage, the audience is able to not only experience addiction, but physically witness its allusive hold on it’s victims. Recovery may not be easy, but it’s always worth it.
