My overall impression

This show is equal parts heart-wrenchingly honest and enticingly sweet. The poems artfully balanced between charmingly making the audience laugh, and exposing something so brutally real that there were tears shinning on every face I could see long before the stunning finale. The only thing that could possibly outshine the words were the actors themselves, who bared their souls on the stage and jumped in to what must have been a rather emotionally and physically exhausting performance with everything they had. Not only did they give us the gifts of their voices, but throughout the show they give out the toys they’re playing with, as if to invite the audience in to the magic, and give them a piece to take home.

If you’re looking for a show that will let you walk out of the theatre better than you were when you walked in, come add yourself to the Poetry.
