My overall impression

I can’t believe there are only three performances of this GEM of a show! I felt like a real patron of Lydia Trueblood’s Santa Fe night spot as Lydia told her colorful tale, and Liz Eldridge’s total transformation into Lydia is something to behold—and hear! Darkly hilarious, deeply felt, beautifully played. Clara Dykstra could not have been more perfect as Annabelle, Lydia’s mute (but angelically-singing, sailor-swearing, musically-inclined) daughter. Her quiet sweetness reminded me of Carrie a bit (without the telepathic murder… she leaves the blood-letting to her mother ;) ). Do. Not. Miss. This. Show. Hopefully it gets extended, I would gladly pay the big bucks for an evening with Lydia and Annabelle!
