My overall impression

Man’s Dominion is without a doubt one of the CAN’T MISS shows this year at the Hollywood Fringe. I went to see it this Sunday evening and was absolutely blown away. Tim Powell effortlessly inhabits character after character and does so with such ease, commitment, grace, and seamlessness that I sat in wonder at the depth of his ability to transmit the experience of each individual character to the audience. By the end I was brought to tears as he became what would be his last two characters. A true tour de force! David Castro’s writing is as sharp as a tack. At times brilliantly comedic and in the next moment devastating. The depth of observation and imagination in his script is almost unbelievable, but I saw it and heard it and felt it myself so I know it’s real! The direction by Dennis Neal was wonderful. Simple, poetic, POWERFUL. I am so grateful to have made it to the theatre tonight to see Man’s Dominion. I look forward to seeing it again, as I am sure its is a journey only just beginning.
