A really charming, entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable play. Very well-performed by both actors. Direction brings out the humor and humanity of the piece and keeps enough spinning that are always engaged. Definitely a fun way to spend some time....

Loved Maria Conchita Alfonso Alfonso Alfonso. A real diva with seduction on her mind gets seduced herself in a laugh riot. Great cast, great direction and a really feel-good 35 minutes of fun. Nothing is quite what it seems in this play, but if you believe strongly in yourself, it all seems to work out to be a fun, fun ride.
Don't miss this one...and you can't beat the ticket price.

For comedy to work, the performers must be totally committed to their characters. In the Fierce Backbone seduction burlesque MARIA CONCHITA ALFONSO ALFONSO ALFONSO, brisquely directed by Richard Pierce, Marina Palmier in the sexy title role portrays with zest the aging diva on the prowl, while Ramon Camacho completely inhabits the part of her star-struck prey, a waiter who may just turn the table...Check it out!...

Lots of laughs and a lot of heart
If you need a good laugh, go see Maria Conchita Alfonso Alfonso Alfonso. This aging Spanish actress gives new meaning to the word, Diva...and she's on the make. The object of her desires is the hot young waiter serving her tall cool drinks. Then the fun begins. Short, sweet and full of heart. Loved it....

Playwright/lead actress Marina Palmier fully owns the charm, vulnerability and nuanced hubris of the quirky title character in this delightfully outrageous comedy about a retired Latina talk-show host who uses her celebrity mystique and powers of feminine allure to woo a naïve young gentleman into a romantic scenario full of laugh-out-loud surprises within a playful approach to addressing relevant racial issues within the Hispanic/Latino community that are often at the heart of this playwright's work. Having glimpsed this piece in various stages of the script development process, I was very excited to see this particular Fringe offering come to life on stage, and it delivers; the chemistry between the two lead characters is electric as they ...

Great fun show, full of surprises and excellent acting. The chemistry between the two leads makes you want to watch and care. I recommend it to all who want to see something lighthearted, a bit farcical and current....

Hilarious must-see comedy written and played by sexy Marina Palmier in the titular role as mature celebrity Maria whose star is fading. She pulls out all the stops (and bares her awesome abs) as the spirited, red-hot temptress out to snare a young, handsome waiter skillfully played by Ramon Camacho. Their chemistry and comedic timing will have you laughing out loud and wondering where the time went. Directed by the talented Richard Pierce, you've never seen the dance of seduction done quite this way. Don't miss it!...
