My overall impression

I loved this play, or rather the three interconnected stories related to those who lived during the time of Lincoln’s Presidency and the struggles outside of the civil war that were gripping the nation. These are personal stories, heart-wrenching in their honesty and in the hands of such capable actors. The only distracting element of the evening was the use of choreographed sound effects provided by the actors such as clapping, humming, scratching on wood, etc that sometimes took us out of the powerful moments of the writing and acting to focus on the direction and was unfortunate. Still, the show is wonderful and still a must see show this year.
