I didn't know what to expect and I received the unexpected. The bare bones honesty of the complicated relationship that makes up a marriage is laid bare. Waitless manages to be comedic, poignant and sad, while giving those who happen to be half of a marriage a rare introspective look into the naivety we have at the the moment we say I Do and the many compromises we make afterward to not say I Don't. Well-observed story about the choices people feel obligated to make when both people in a relationship have demanding professional careers. Harrison doesn't go for easy or expected answers. Crisp direction. Loved the treadmill. Kudos to Laura Emanuel for avoiding a "woe is me" take on the character (and for her stamina!), and to Andrew Boyle for his multiple characterizations.... full review
