Shuffle Along is an incredibly informative, immensely entertaining one man show about the history of blacks in Musical Theater and Hollywood. Arthur Ross is a force to be reckoned with. He is a triple threat in the truest sense of the term. His vocals are powerful when they need to be, but heart-achingly sweet in the very next moment. He knows just how to carry himself in each piece to portray each new persona he is taking on. I completely followed him along his journey through time thanks, in part to the sparse costume pieces, but owing mostly to his ability to so completely inhabit each time period and character so fully. The content of the show was really compelling and had me intrigued throughout. The talent of the show is really incredible.
