I saw this show on June 23 and it was really great! The writing is fluid, smart and genuinely funny. I saw Katie and Dana perform at the 2012 festival, and their raw improv entertaining as well, but they have refined their performances in a huge way. Katie is crazy and brilliant and beautiful. Dana rocks and her music production is smooth and professional. The story is balanced and relevant. The stage arrangement is interesting, with Dana positioned above, as if the music is coming in from above and beyond. I hope this team will continue to develop this concept and create more funny shit. We all know a "Janey", but this is the first time you'll enjoy the entire hour you are invited to spend with her. Going back and forth between finding her repulsive and wondering whether or not she read (and hopefully "liked") your last drunken facebook post, rsvp: rip (really into partying) will take you along on a dark, high energy, narcissistic bender. This show pulls off a hat trick of amazingness: not only is Katie Molinaro a refreshingly sharp character writer and performer, but the music and direction are top-notch as well. The pieces combine in a way that seems intentionally hodgepodge yet brilliantly layered. I dug this. The performance was very energetic. The music was fun and unique for a one person musical show. The story was actually sad with an enormous amount of comedy along side. I recommend this to any who enjoys comedy, music, dreams, cats, and tragedy. ... full review

Incredibly poignant. Janey is the human equivalent of an almost aware selfie. Dark, raw satire, that remains fair, and almost (for a moment) optimistic. Do I feel sick from questioning my own narcissistic tendencies, or from the huge amount of pills I've taken? ... full review

I came thousands of miles to see this show and was not disappointed. Katie bring the full range of emotion her twisted sense of humor and the right touch of pathos to make for a witty commentary on the vacuousness of over indulgence in pop culture. I have seen the evolution of this writer and performer from a zygote to an a artist (full disclosure: I am her father). Believe me when I tell you, I have seen and heard fake crying. On stage last night I believed she was really crying. I also saw her every emotion laid bare. She leaves every bit of herself on the stage. Katie and Dana are great, and have put together an awesome satire about all the people out there who are trying to become famous. This is an amazing show if you like to laugh you should go watch it.
