About the Project
K&A Theatricals is a theatrical production company founded by Keith and Amanda Kraft in 2012. This dynamic husband and wife team have produced original musical theater productions-Ingenue, and Broadway Baby..and Beyond in Atlanta and Los Angeles. They are excited about their next step which is producing a drama. They are both classically trained actors and directors with degrees in Theater (AMDA and Conservatory) and a passion for performing unique and moving material.
Blackbird is a 2 person drama by playwright Adam Rapp.
The two characters, Baylis and Froggy are trapped in their own mutual hells in a NY City apartment on Christmas Eve. This two person play delivers a high-voltage mix of anger, remorse and raw emotion laced with biting, black humor that is reminiscent of the best of experimental theatre one would see Off-Broadway. The relationship between these two misfits is poignant, shocking, and surprisingly sweet.
