Mike creates a tour de force performance, seamlessly weaving between the characters in his story. It's a very well acted, funny, meaningful one man musical. There's not a dull moment in the play. Please go see it!... full review

Fantastic performing with a script that keeps you moving through experiences you didn't think could be true, but the multi talented Mike Cline does a marvelous job entertaining us and touching us deeply as he tells his story. Laughter and tears. That is great theatre! Bravo Mike! A definite must see.... full review

RUN to see this show. I saw the opening night preview on Saturday night. It was absolutely fabulous. Funny, touching, poignant, and what theatre is supposed to be. If this was just the preview, then this show is going to be a major hit. Michael Cline's performance is stellar, and he allows us in to the most intimate moments of his life and does so with such amazing clarity and clear delineations of characters that you are drawn in from the moment it starts until the end.... full review

In Open Mike, created by and starring Michael Cline, the star pulls his life and his heart right out of his chest and lays it bare for everyone to see. In this truly memorable performance, Cline uses his razor sharp wit and his considerable physical presence to help us understand how a life that could easily have gone astray or ended early has instead become a gem that we can all appreciate. Cline doesn't hold back any of painful or ugly parts of his life, but shows them off like a man who can appreciate that all these warts and beauty marks are what make him who he is. I highly recommend this show as a fine piece of personal theater that should satisfy your hunger for something real and meaningful. ... full review

Open Mike never fails to tug on the heart strings. His story is one that many will be able to relate to, yet its also a unique one to be heard. Mike has taken all the potential negatives in his life and turned them into a gem of a one-man show. Cline has proved that he is a survivor and allows himself to truly relive his life story, which makes for the most compelling experience. But, that's not all. While it could potentially be a very depressing narrative, Cline brings in his own unique personality to keep the audience laughing, as well as feeling the tender moments. Director Randy Brenner keeps the show moving with often clever and interesting staging, also including some fantastic musical numbers that easily meld into the story. Th... full review
