My overall impression
I hadn’t set foot inside a church for years until I entered the Church of E.L.V.I.S.$. last week. And boy, am I glad I finally did. Markhum is a gifted performer who sends up the religious establishment, pop culture and anything else that falls under his gaze. Why was real church never this much fun? I laughed my ass off and enjoyed every minute of this show. A blast. Like nothing else at the Fringe this year. Make sure to make a little room in your heart for “The Rev.”
