My overall impression
I loved the REV! Markhum’s character work is exceptional, funny, and thoroughly entertaining. I loved how committed he was and how it truly felt like we were in a church, from the singing to the offering, to the prayers. And it brought up questions for me as to what are the things we are truly idolizing and praising? Although it was entirely a comedy, I felt those deeper questions coming up naturally. I found the Rev’s sermon to be very accurate in its reflection of modern day celebrity culture. The audience was laughing the entire time, we just wanted more!! This show was so much fun!! Go see it!!
