What a delightful combination of solo shows! Not only were they very different in tone and style -- so you get a variety of story -- they were both funny and enjoyable to watch. I thoroughly enjoyed myself through both and hope they put them up again sometime soon!

Julia (The Mascot) was very sweet and relatable. She made me laugh a lot! Amy Granados (Jackass) takes a memory and brings it to life on stage. From the music to the props and costumes Amy Granados' story paints a vivid picture that will forever be in my mind. ...

I LOVED this show. It is tip-top storytelling...honest, detailed, meaningful. And, delivered by two brilliant and self-effacing gals - Amy and Julia - it is also hilarious! Both have unique voices and storytelling styles that complement each other, and both had an ease of onstage delivery that is incredibly compelling. The writing is clever, and chock-full of fun references for those of us that are generational peers. These gals are fun, intelligent, and real, which carries over off-stage. It was delightful to spend time with them. SEE THE SHOW!...

A MUST-SEE!! Two honest, poignant, and very funny stories from two very talented women. Julia Farrell tells the tale of her high school quest to correct the gap in her front teeth and buy herself braces--an obsession which leads to a summer's employ as a dancing cat mascot for her local grocery store. Amy Granados leads us through the major romance-related traumas of her adolescence, culminating in an epic, disastrous high school prom night that changed the next ten years of her life. Both stories seem lighthearted on the surface, but their tellers crack past the comedic exteriors to deeper truths about themselves that are very affecting.
I was extremely moved by Amy's story, especially the powerful ending. The story is funny, but it com...

Such a fantastic combo of solo shows!! Touching on wonderfully personal stories, each were able to make their experiences relatable, while still giving hilarious details that could only have been lived. Although the two have very different stories (Julie working as a mascot trying to achieve a more perfect smile, and the Amy looking for that perfect slow dance in a world obsessed with marriage) they had such wonderfully cohesive pieces. They are funny, heartwarming, and so relatable you'll fall in love with the two of them. Wonderful performances and beautifully written. Definitely a must see....

In Jackass: A prom story, Amy Granados brought me back to my school dances and the excitement that brings. I was laughing out loud at both her story and my memories that she conjured up. Her self-effacing humor encourages us to laugh at her pain as she illustrates her young hopes, dreams, and disappointments through the media and personalities of the times; Saved by the Bell, daredevil skaters, and aol instant messenger, oh my! Genius, I highly recommend it....
