A sign of the times with SNL comedy and excellent performances! Had a blast at the 11pm show last night, me and 2 others in the audience and the cast played as if it were a sold out house!!! FUN! Great job! There ain't nothing boring at Boring Boys Productions... lot of laughs on stage! PS... the show has changed my life... I'll never text a woman the same or with an emoticon!!!!... full review

This show TOTALLY captures the effect of technology on modern dating. Sean Boring's writing is hysterical. I think he should have his own sketch show or be a writer on SNL. I was laughing from start to finish. He hit the nail on the head with the difference between men and women texting language!! The cast completely captures the innocence of new love and of the cynicism that comes with failed love - two of the characters are jaded and two are still hopeful when it comes to finding true love. Seeing the contrast between these two couples as well as the vulnerability that comes from just wanting to go back to a time before cell phones is endearing. I loved the writing for the female characters as well, Sean manages to totally embody how... full review

Thumb wars is an accurate interpretation of this generations' dating world. Over analyzing text messages is apparent in most young people's lives; I know I've definitely done it. With endless humor comes sweet moments of organic emotion from all four actors. Dylan's approach to his character was hilarious and Brian (Keith) was so genuine and it really showed in his monologue about "dating is a game". The girls powered through their performance flawlessly and their chemistry was brilliant. Both sets of friends worked amazingly well with one another and timing was perfect. I laughed the entire time. ... full review

Sean and his team have done it again! Thumb wars back and it is better than ever! The script is tigher, smarter and hilarious. The subtle changes made to the script streamlined the dialogue and kept the show current. I mean it is a whole year later after all. The new cast is lightening fast and keeps the pace going full steam ahead. They successfully manage to avoid the worst set up to a punchline...the pregnant pause. Instead, they choose to use the words and let the clever script do the funny for them. The new cast members bring plenty of life to the immediately relatable topic of Thumb Wars. Excellent pacing, script and direction make this show a must see at HFF15 this year!... full review

This is one of the best written comedies I've seen in a while. Extremely well written to the point that you think, "did this guy dig into my brain to come up with these insights into the dating world?" It's so spot on and ultimately very sweet. There was a technical hiccup in the show we saw, and everyone committed so well that it didn't even matter. Nothing was disrupted, and the poignancy of the show stayed intact. Overall, an extremely entertaining and funny show that was relatable enough to discuss over brunch with your girlfriends after - just like a bad date :)... full review

Wittily written, smoothly directed and superbly performed. This comedic look at dating in the 21st century is outrageously funny, yet eventually very thought provoking. Who knew that basic human communication is an art form? The actors were quite convincing in their totally believable roles. Audiences of all ages can easily imagine these scenes being played out on a daily basis throughout the real world. Well worth the time and $$. Go see it. ... full review

There are some great performances and very witty writing showcased here, and it picks the perfect moment to end things. Clocking in at under 30 minutes, it's easily something you an fit between other shows in your schedule. Given the short run-time, I was surprised that it took a relatively long time to get to the titular "thumb wars" and lingered on some beats for awhile, but once it focuses on miscommunication and misinterpretation, it really hits its stride.... full review
