A terrific ensemble cast brings this heartfelt family drama vividly to life. Shelley Phillips gives a wonderfully nuanced portrayal of the mentally unbalanced matriarch Evelyn, who spins her madness like a web to stop her three grown daughters from leaving the lair. Phillips makes admirable choices in a role that could easily have slipped into caricature, but in this production is well-grounded in three brutally honest mother-daughter relationships. Kat Muldoon shines as the eldest daughter, Kess, who finds refuge in rationality, and returns home to fix a problem that may have no solution. Jenny Simpson is phenomenal as the pregnant Jo, the child who parents the mother, and who finds refuge in a romance that is as much a fantasy in her head ... full review

So glad I saw this production! The actors were first rate, the writing was solid and the direction was just about perfect! I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the show from beginning to end. The play reminded me a bit of Black Swan but with a better ending though the last hug-less hug was painful to watch. The only flaw in this production was the sound of sweeping up in the back. Please loose that track as it came out of nowhere and it was distracting from the play. See this show while you can. The actors are incredible and inspiring in every way! ... full review

A gripping roller coaster ride of strained emotions from a incredibly dysfunctional family to say the least. Strong performances all around by the ladies who could have easily mailed in one dimensional characters but through Vernee Watson's watchful eye turned in heartbreaking portraits of women trying to make their abnormal situations sane.
