A funny series of vignettes about a variety of phobias; the stand-out scene follows a Southern woman grappling with her fear of flying, while a sequence following a germaphobe makes superb use of music and staging. While the scenes occasionally run long (particularly in the final segment), the show is overall well-paced and fun, and is worth checking out. ... full review

This pleasant performance consists of an all-CSUN ensemble, featuring writer/director Shad Willingham, MFA, and a cast and crew of current and former Theatre majors. From Will Mercer's opening soliloquy regarding coulrophobia (fear of clowns) through Michael Gmur's chilling portrayal of a germaphobe to the final group therapy scene, this play features sparkling acting and a good pace. Don't expect extravagant lighting; this is a 50- seat venue, after all. However, the technical aspect is capably handled by Stage Manager Danny Guerrero, and there are some nice sound design elements that add to the play's enjoyment.
