We went there to see and support Daniele Gaither thinking, "if she's involved, it must be good, she's brilliant and we love her." It was absolutely stunning. Let's start with the writing. It's as dazzling as anything we've seen in ten years. The concept was inspired, every character had unbelievable attention to detail, and there were so many hilarious ideas and moments we almost didn't want to laugh, because if you laughed out loud you would miss the next funny line. And many funny lines were missed. Every actor was incredible. Putting it in words diminished the richness of the experience. I don't want to give anything away except to say, they were all extraordinary. Every performance was delivered pitch perfect. Every character was luminou... full review

Stars light up the Theatre Asylum stage at this year’s Hollywood Fringe festival as a quartet of fictional Broadway/Hollywood divas vie for a sitcom pilot lead in Stan Zimmerman and Christian McLaughlin’s outrageously funny Meet & Greet. Broadway legend Margo Jane Marsden (Carolyn Hennesy), former sitcom costars Belinda Reid (Vicki Lewis) and Teri Valentine (Teresa Ganzel), and Real Housekeepers Of Palm Beach star Desiree White (Daniele Gaither) have been summoned to a San Fernando Valley casting office to read for the role of Andrea in a soon-to-be-shot pilot. Not surprisingly, each finds the presence of the other three more than a bit irritating, and surprising as well, since no four actresses could be more dissimilar than classicall... full review

"Meet and Greet” is pure theatre gold - expertly written and performed so that we can laugh out loud at the absurdities of life and human nature - through the eyes of 4 diva actresses! The attention to every detail in this production, along with the sheer fragility of each ego portrayed on stage, make this a truly fun unveiling of what can happen inside Hollywood auditions. The dialogue is sharp, the situation hilarious, and the performances so comedically rich. The performers are 4 real accomplished actresses (and 1 very supportive actor) in all their womanly glory, gloriously playing together. The interpersonal fireworks they create by committing so fully to their characters are a trip to say the least. Be sure to catch this show - ... full review

Stan Zimmerman and Christian McLaughlin’s play is packed with nasty laughs and knowing industry jabs, and it all works wonderfully well, as delivered by a game and capable cast. Carolyn Hennesy, a familiar face to fans of True Blood, is a riot as the imperious Margo. Teresa Ganzel sends up her own ‘80s goofy blonde image to a tee, and Vicki Lewis is all exposed nerves as the down-on-her-luck Belinda. Daniele Gaither does a wonderfully vicious parody of those awful “real housewives” (and I’m thinking NeNe in particular, since her character’s cancelled show is called “Cray-Cray for Desiree”). Iocano is also fun as the potentially clichéd, fluttery assistant who’s actually got a trick of his own up his sleeve. Zimmerman’s direction is fast a... full review
