One of the freshest and funniest shows about what it's like for actresses of a certain age to compete for the same part in a TV show. It is full of great inside Hollywood jokes and the 4 actresses all shined in their individual roles. In a play with 4 strong roles it's usually one of the 4 who outshine the others, but not in this case. Each of the 4 actresses shined on their own and bounced well off the others! The one who tied it all together, the office assistant, (Paul Iacono) added a biting humor to the story. And if that wasn't good enough I got to see SHIRLEY MACLAINE in the audience! Great show! I think they are having an encore performance in July! Lots of fun!... full review

It’s a story as old as Hollywood. Four very different actresses are up for the same role as lead of a network television show: Margo, the classically-trained theatre legend; loose cannon/cautionary tale Belinda, beloved airhead and bombshell Teresa, and rising trashy reality star Desiree in the mold of NeNe Leakes. Each woman has her own reasons for desperately needing the job, despite the fact that the part they are fighting for is a turd – a silly over-sexed cartoon character of a role that the actresses note is clearly written by a man. The show is extremely well-cast, with most of the roles suiting the actors perfectly... We went there to see and support Daniele Gaither thinking, "if she's involved, it must be good, she's brilliant and we love her." It was absolutely stunning. Let's start with the writing. It's as dazzling as anything we've seen in ten years. The concept was inspired, every character had unbelievable attention to detail, and there were so many hilarious ideas and moments we almost didn't want to laugh, because if you laughed out loud you would miss the next funny line. And many funny lines were missed. Every actor was incredible. Putting it in words diminished the richness of the experience. I don't want to give anything away except to say, they were all extraordinary. Every performance was delivered pitch perfect. Every character was luminou... full review

"Meet and Greet” is pure theatre gold - expertly written and performed so that we can laugh out loud at the absurdities of life and human nature - through the eyes of 4 diva actresses! The attention to every detail in this production, along with the sheer fragility of each ego portrayed on stage, make this a truly fun unveiling of what can happen inside Hollywood auditions. The dialogue is sharp, the situation hilarious, and the performances so comedically rich. The performers are 4 real accomplished actresses (and 1 very supportive actor) in all their womanly glory, gloriously playing together. The interpersonal fireworks they create by committing so fully to their characters are a trip to say the least. Be sure to catch this show - ... full review

Stars light up the Theatre Asylum stage at this year’s Hollywood Fringe festival as a quartet of fictional Broadway/Hollywood divas vie for a sitcom pilot lead in Stan Zimmerman and Christian McLaughlin’s outrageously funny Meet & Greet. Broadway legend Margo Jane Marsden (Carolyn Hennesy), former sitcom costars Belinda Reid (Vicki Lewis) and Teri Valentine (Teresa Ganzel), and Real Housekeepers Of Palm Beach star Desiree White (Daniele Gaither) have been summoned to a San Fernando Valley casting office to read for the role of Andrea in a soon-to-be-shot pilot. Not surprisingly, each finds the presence of the other three more than a bit irritating, and surprising as well, since no four actresses could be more dissimilar than classicall... full review
