My overall impression

“That’s What She Didn’t Say” is a brave, funny, vulnerable, moving, COMPELLING night of storytelling told straight from the heart. Bonnie is a joy to watch. Her story moved me to tears and made me want to help other women to tell their stories. Bonnie speaks her truth so candidly and with such wit and humor, the entire audience was leaning forward in their seats from start to finish. At the end of her opening night, she received a well-deserved standing ovation and the entire audience literally clapped for two minutes straight. It was almost as if we did not want to stop clapping. I, along with the practically sold out house, wanted to keep applauding this incredible artist for being brave enough to speak her truth so that she would keep speaking it. So that other women will speak up. So that the whole world will speak up in the face of sexual assault. This show is necessary for both men and women to see. Necessary for EVERYONE to see so that others may speak up and share their truth as well as help prevent sexual assault from continuing by shining a very bold and brave light on it. I especially think this is an important show for young adults and children to see, so that they witness Bonnie’s story and know that it is ok to use your voice and speak up when something harmful is happening to you. GO SEE IT! And bring your friends!
