Failure Confetti is a solo theater piece in which Maeve, an ex-child actor and survivor of the New York City Department of Special Education, finds herself suddenly adult, out of work, and unsure who she is. Hoping for a reset, she joins a Method acting class convinced it will solve everything. Instead, it triggers a series of new problems… and a truth she didn’t even know she was looking for. With the help of a file box filled with real evaluations, test results, and Special Ed reports, Maeve builds a live theatrical experiment: storytelling, multimedia, interactive play, and a Broadway parody medley performed with the desperation of someone trying to figure out who they really are. Failure Confetti explores labels, shame, performance, and what it takes to crawl out of the narratives other people wrote for you.
