Brian Rohan was spectacular. A very moving and insightful performance. Next time I see “It’s a Wonderful Life” (or indeed “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance,” and “Vertigo") it will be with new eyes. Like so many film-goers, I’ve watched Jimmy Stewart films all my life, and I always felt there was something haunting underneath his charm; Brian’s play and his performance really brought those connections to life with grace and wit, and in a deeply poignant and empathic way....

Brian Rohan has done the impossible and brought Jimmy Stewart back to life! The play is beautifully written and gives us a peek into difficulties Stewart faced after his return from serving in WWII. It is heartfelt and profound. If you love classic Hollywood, this is NOT to be missed! ...

It was a lovely one-man show covering Stewart's homecoming from service in Europe during WWII to his role in the Christmas classic It's A Wonderful Life. Brian Rohan embodied Stewart"s nervous charm and mannerisms well, shaking hands and verbal tics included. It made me tear up numerous times....

Wonderful portrayal of one of our favorite American actors of all time. Witty
The show captured Jimmy Stewart post-service trying to find out where he fit in the world after having served in combat. Soul searching and trying to find out if he still had what it took—or even wanted—to get back into Hollywood life.
He speaks from the heart about family, his acting and what it was like to be a part of a group of soldiers, with longing and sometimes confusion with his friend Henry Fonda.
Brian Rohan brings Jimmy Stewart alive with an amazing performance. He shares the inner conflict he has about being gone from Hollywood, and where he will fit back in. You believe every word. He plays the man, honors his craft, and is not doing an impersonation. Heartfelt and wonderful.
Aided by audio and video elements, he brings...

Far from a mere impersonation, Rohan's warm, subtle, funny and endearing portrayal of Jimmy Stewart gradually gave way to more troubled aspects of the man, revealing, bit by bit, increasingly complex and contradictory elements which I neither knew of or suspected. And these intimately observed aspects of both Stewart's public persona as a popular film actor and the private man behind that public facade -- never more powerfully expressed than in his struggles to deal with the lingering psychological and emotional after-effects of his experiences as a World War 2 Commander and pilot -- were truly revelatory. In fact, these haunting harrowing and moving glimpses opened a window into the mind and heart of a Jimmy Stewart who was wholly new to me...

It must be challenging to do a one-person show in front of such an intimate audience that is right in front of you with no separation of stage level or orchestra pit. Brian made us into the people he was speaking to--the Life magazine photographer, Henry Fonda, Louis Mayer, even the people whose voices we hear. An excellent performance. I will admit that I expected more comedy, perhaps through anecdotes. There were laughs, to be sure, but this was more an exploration of a well-known person's inner doubts and fears. Not funny but poignant. I can only imagine the level of research Brian put into this role in order to capture the real Jimmy Stewart--the shy, unsure, self-doubting one, as opposed to the characters we've seen onscreen so often....
