What I liked

Snappy comedic writing and campy tone. Chavira’s voice affectations when in ‘host mode’. Live performance element with guitar. Venue was a perfect space, made me feel we were in a DIY podcast studio in someone’s attic and used to great effect in the finale killer reveal. Was still humming songs later in the day!

What I didn't like

Was dying (pun intended) for further character development of our leads. Excited for this show’s future!

My overall impression

A fun and funny tongue-in-cheek show that lives (and dies) in the popular world of true crime podcasts. The catchy tunes and playful energy of lead Marcelina Chavira balance the macabre (or is it macab-RAY?) world, skewering the follower-obsessed hosts behind the horror podcast craze while honoring the beats of a classic slasher mystery.
