Fabulous show. Writing, directing, and acting all on point.
What I didn't like
The sound bleed from the neighboring space was distracting at times, not the production’s fault, just a Fringe reality.
My overall impression
Writer/director Jessica Silvetti keeps the script tight and the storytelling focused, no small feat for a solo show about a life this big.
Virginia Novello pulls you in immediately and doesn’t let go. What could have felt like a history lesson becomes something much more immersive, like getting lost in a good book you can’t put down. She brought Nahui Olin to life with so much passion and radiance that I went straight home to learn more about the Latina artist’s life and work.
This one deserves a longer life beyond Fringe. Hope it finds one.
