I liked the props, the set dressing, and the fact that every audience member had the chance to be a part of the show equally. The meditative shadow work session with Hades was also fun!
Pulling off an immersive fringe show is no easy task, and overall I had a good time!
What I didn't like
The performers and crew did their best to accommodate, but it was simply uncomfortably crowded the day I attended. I think providing kit bags with all the props audiences would need going in would save time and improve audience management, as well as capping the audience numbers a little lower.
Additionally, I would love to see a version where all of the puzzles and collective audience action moments are organically tied into the storyline. Most were, but a few things happened to propel the story with no practical or magical explanation. The mix of Ancient Greek mythology with modern songs was a bit jarring since the blend only happened in the second half of the experience.
My overall impression
A mix of light puzzling, props work, engaging with performers, completing tasks with other audience members, and moving through a series of immersive spaces.
