What I liked
Wholly original! The show wears its influences on its sleeve (PeeWee, Dr. Seuss, and others!) and manages to produce something I’ve never seen before without losing me in the middle of it. The metaphors are amazing, the world building effective…you are with Banana the whole time, experiencing its gaffes, its triumphs, its big revelations right along with Banana.
What I didn't like
Can’t think of anything. What a success!!
My overall impression
Incredibly unique, wholesome, and relatable – writer and magnetic performer Ari Fromm teaches their audience “pupils” an important lesson about identity and inclusivity through an animated, larger-than-life performance that transports you to the wild and colorful world of Fruits. The type of show you come to Fringe to see!
