I really loved the creative choices and Shahin’s commitment to them.
The moments he related to the audience directly as himself were bursts of light.
So endearing. I wish there were more of them.

My overall impression
Ritual Music to Cure a Lover is a profound journey. The story of a land & people as old as time. Poetic and eternal. Shahin commands the stage with passion, humor but above all his humanity. It felt as though I was under a spell…I loved watching him dive into his own imagination in the telling of this story. In a time when there is so much prevailing darkness in the world, this type of storytelling is the antidote. Very powerful!
