What I liked
I was very impressed at the variety of ways a single chair, bit of fabric, and a small scoop of sand were able to be integrated to impact emotion, time, and space. Shahin is a strong performer who clearly felt the power of his story, his personal history, and of the value and power of poetry.
What I didn't like
I want more of your first language during the earlier part of the play. The special magic of an actors’ native tongue always illicit something special.
My overall impression
Ritual Music To Cure A Lover is a tale of love and passion. Couldn’t we all use a bit of that in our lives? Shahin took us on a trip to another time and place and did so with a beautiful presence and a fierce spirit.
