Ritual Music to Cure a Lover is a profound journey. The story of a land & people as old as time. Poetic and eternal. Shahin commands the stage with passion, humor but above all his humanity. It felt as though I was under a spell...I loved watching him dive into his own imagination in the telling of this story. In a time when there is so much prevailing darkness in the world, this type of storytelling is the antidote. Very powerful! ... full review

This show really transported me to another time and place! Shahin has found an awesome way to present the myths, fables and true stories of his home and some of its history as metaphor and drama. There is an ancient spirit of storytelling at the core of this production, with ritual and belief driving the narrative and action forward. ... full review

DON"T MISS IT! It's impossible to describe how good this show is. Sayadi is such a resourceful and talented physical storyteller that a bare stage and a few very basic props come to life in a magical way. Stripped down, the show transmits to the audience the pure beauty and dignity of creating art. A compelling story is told as Sayadi shifts seamlessly between characters. I purposely saw a few more shows before reviewing this one, and while I enjoyed and appreciated all shows I saw, this one stands out as the best so far. ... full review

The sensuality and world-building is this show's strength. The strongest moral takeaway for me was the idea of the divine child (sent by Mithra in this case) shunned by the village, who has to follow his own path to bring light into the dark while the village insists he is the dark one. The themes are universal and epic. I'd see this show again. ... full review
